Trekking in Nepal is certainly an unforgetable experience, there is nothing quite like travelling by foot through the breathtaking scenary that only the highest mountain range on earth can provide.Stunning mountain vistas and beautiful rhododendron forests, alongside some of the friendliest mountain people you are ever like to meet. The Nepali culture and lifestyle, customs and ways of life are very much in evidence along many of the routes, providing the traveller with unique experiences into what for many is a different world. Small villages hidden in forests, Hindu farmers tending their land or in the higher regions Tibetan like Lamas offering prayers to the Gods, all go to add to the experience. If you are a nature lover there is a vast and varied range of flora and fauna to observe and study, from langur monkeys at lower altitudes, to the elusive snow leapord at high altitude.
A typical day on the trail begins around six when most people are up to catch the early morning sun rising above the giant peaks. After breakfast you can expect to walk for around three to four hours in the morning before lunch, followed by another three to four hours in the afternoon before reaching camp.If you are staying in lodges on the more popular trails, there are many places for refreshment along the way.In the more remote regions the team will break for refreshments on the trail. On organised treks the only thing you are expected to carry is your day pack, the rest of your gear is carried by the Nepali staff.
There are many different trekking regions in Nepal apart from the three most popular regions; Everest,Annapurna and Langtang, each region has its own culture and ways of doing things.Recently the government of Nepal has opened up new trails in virgin areas, this has provided opportunities for trekkers to stay in the upgraded homes of local families, where the facilities provide a certain ammount of comfort.
The staff of Himalayan Global are vastly experienced, they have been treading these trails for many years and know many of them like the back of their hands. The service they provide, like the scenary, is second to none. Service and good times needs to be always client focused, carried out in a warm and efficient way. Himalayan Global organises both tea house/lodge trekking (where the trekker stays at a lodge overnight) it also has comprehensive range of camping and climbing equipment for groups who wish to camp or for groups visiting more remote regions where there is no other option.
