Everest Three passes trek:

For adventure seekers this is an ultimate trek that takes you over the famous three passes of the Everest region , namely the Renjo La pass, the Cho La pass and the Kongma La pass. It is a trek with unparalled alpine beauty and without doubt the grandest mountain scenery on the world.The highlights of the trek include the Sherpa village of Khumjung, the pristine Gokyo lake, the breathtaking scenery from the all these passes and the visit to Everest base camp.Unlike other treks in Everest region , this trek makes a loop , hence no tracing back of the route. The good thing about this trek is despite having to cross three passes,you do not require any technical climbing and any person with good fitness and previous trekking experience can complete the trek successfully.


Day 01, March 27: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu / warm welcome / transfer hotel / introductory briefing

Day 02, March 28: Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation
Most of the day is spent visiting the important historical and cultural sights of Kathmandu / late afternoon trek preparation
Day 03, March 29: Kathmandu – Lukla (40 min flight) – Phakding (2610m); 2-3 hour trek 
Early  morning flight to Lukla (2,840m). / trek starts / pass Chaurikharka village and make a descent towards the Dudhkosi Ghat (2,492m) / the trail follows the bank of the Dudhkosi River until Phakding (2,610m) overnight.

Day 04, March 30: Phakding 2,610m to Monjo 2,835m approx 3 hours hike/ relatively short trekking day /overnight

Day 05, March 31: Monjo 2835m – Namche 3440m approx 3-4 hours hike/trekking to the famous Sherpa village Namche also known as the gateway to Mt. Everest/overnight
Day 06, April 01: Namche Bazaar: Rest day
Rest day for acclimatization/off to allow our bodies to adjust to the rarefied atmosphere / side treks possible / or just relax around Namche/overnight

Day 07, April 02: Day excursion to Syangboche (3,800m) and back to Namche/ approx 3-4 hours/ views of mountains from here is spectacular/overnight

Day 08, April 03: Namche 3440m-Tengboche 3850m about 4 to 5 hours hike/overnight

Day 09, April 04: Tengboche – Dingboche, 4410m

Slight descent early today through lush forest / before a gradual climb up to the valleys highest year round settlement of Pangboche (3,860m) / You could stay in Pangboche or continue ascending in the afternoon / through alpine meadows and yak herds to Dingboche/overnight
Day 10, April 05: Free day for Acclimatization . If you are interested you could take a day excursion to Chhukung ri/overnight
Day 11, April 06: By now you will be fully acclimatized. So, take a helicopter flight to Gorakh Shep, 5140 m. Hike to Kalapatthar, 5545m to see the Sunset view and back to Gorakhshep, approx 2 hours/overnight
Day 12, April 07: Trek to Everest base camp 5364m and back to Gorakhshep. Approx 5 – 6 hours/overnight

Day 13, April 08: Take a helicopter flight to Syangboche and trek to Namche Bazaar/overnight

Day 14, April 09: Trek back Namche Bazaar- Phakding (2610): 3-4 hours/overnight
Day 15, April 10: Trek back Phakding-Lukla (2840m): approx 3 hours/overnight
Finally today the trail takes us back to Lukla (2,810m). On arrival in Lukla / time to relax/overnight.
Day 16, April 11: Lukla- Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu/pick up from airport and transfer to hotel/rest time for relaxation etc

Day 17, April 12: Departure day/ Transfer to airport and fly back home

Cost includes:

 1. Accommodation in Kathmandu on bed and breakfast basis as per the itinerary

2. City tour in Kathmandu with guide by private car

3. Entry fees when sightseeing in Kathmandu

4. National Park Trekking/Entry Permit

5. Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) registration fee

6. Round trip / internal flights / overland transport / if needed / as per the itinerary

7. Accommodation in guest houses/lodges during the trek

8. Three meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) a day during the trek

9. Qualified and experienced trekking guide and porter services

10. Transportation, accommodation, meal allowance, equipment and insurance for trekking staff
